Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for several years. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and faced a lot racial taunts, which caused her to feel uncomfortable. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. This not only increased her confidence, but also her goals transformed. At the age of 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23 years old, she launched her career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've received mail. Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. Following that, in 2007, she was a cast member in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. She is also a known singer and has produced an extended show. She is also an activist and works extensively for LGBT rights.
