Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Two of her earliest television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. Her parents, however, did not want her to pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry was shy during high school and was not a performer. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry managed to get tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. However, her homesickness brought her back to California again where she began working on stage. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie and Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017 she had an recurring role in her own ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. In the same year, she portrayed a child character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong relationship with the show.
