Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally known as Andra day, is an American R&B singer-songwriter. The singer has received many awards, including the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for an Academy Award. Andra is not only a throwback R&B performer, but her blues and gospel jazz roots perform in a manner that is both effortless and sophisticated. Cheers to the Fall (2015) her auspicious debut reached the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and paved the way for numerous Grammy nominations, as well as one Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her performance on the music of Marshall receiving both awards. Billie Holiday 2021) has all been a part of the anticipation for her next album. Andra Day has been born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew up in San Diego and the metropolitan city. She sang in churches and enrolled in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. As she neared graduation, she began to develop a preference for R&B/pop. However, she eventually was drawn back to the soul and jazz vocalists from the past. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and donated some of Day's music to Stevie Wonder. It was then that the Motown legend connected Day to the music industry's veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Together with Gurvitz along with Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day developed a YouTube audience and was eventually signed by major-label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day released her debut single Forever Mine on YouTube. The track was picked up rapidly by radio DJs. After signing with Warner Bros. Records, she began to work together with producer Adrian Gourvitz on her debut album "Cheers to the Fall" (2015). The album included the track"Rise Up" which became an appeal to the social movements throughout the world. Day was awarded the album two Grammy nominations for her album including Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her second studio album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the famous jazz musician. That same year, she was in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), an autobiography of the career of Holiday. Andi Matichak, an American actress. Her debut on television was in series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut in the role of Allyson Nelson in the horror film series Halloween as well as the sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts.
